eStatement Delivery

Welcome! Our Online Banking customers already experience the convenience of viewing periodic monthly account statements online.

Definitions Account” means a deposit account, loan account or other account at Bank which you have enrolled in the eStatement service. Not all account types at Bank may enroll in a Service.
Online Banking” means the personal or business internet banking service in which your Account is already enrolled with Bank. “eStatement” means an electronic version of the paper periodic statement of debits, credits and balances that Bank mails to you for a deposit account that is not enrolled in the eStatement service.
eStatement” also includes notices, disclosures and other information that would be printed on the back of the statement paper.
We,” “us” and “our” each mean or refer to Bank.
You” and “your” mean or refer to the customer of Bank who enrolled the Account in a Service, and any co-owner of that Account.

Your Consent By accepting the terms and conditions of the Bank of Clarke County’s electronic statement agreement, you consent and agree that Bank of Clarke County may provide certain disclosures and notices to you in an electronic form. You may enroll for eStatements as part of the EagleOnline Banking enrollment process, or you can “opt-in” at any time by accessing the “options” page within the EagleOnline Banking Service. You can choose to receive eStatements for all of your online accounts or just one.

Enrolling for eStatements By accepting the terms and conditions you agree to have the Bank of Clarke County send monthly electronic notices, that your statement is available, to the email address provided by you during the enrollment process. The monthly statements may be viewed through the Bank of Clarke County’s website with a password. By using this service you are bounded to all the rules and regulations applicable to your deposit account/s. You agree to periodically check your eStatements and within 30 days report any errors to the bank.

Our Process We will send you an email alert to the email address you provide when your statement becomes available for viewing online. You can change the email address for the e-Statement alert at any time by accessing “options” within the Online Banking service. The email alert will include a link that takes you to the EagleOnline Banking login screen.

Security Your User ID and password that are used to access online banking services should be kept confidential; to protect the security of your banking information you must not disclose or share your password with any third party. You are responsible for keeping your password, account numbers, and other account data confidential.

Retention Period eStatements are securely available online for 7 years. Check images can also be easily accessed online for 18 months. Both eStatements and check images may be downloaded or printed for permanent retention. You may download or print eStatements or check copies from your computer if you have the hardware and software described below. We strongly recommend that you save copies of your eStatements to your hard drive or other media for viewing and printing at a later time. If you need help printing or if you need a paper copy, please contact us at 540-955-2510 or 1-800-650-8723. Additional fees may apply to receive a printed statement that has already been mailed or emailed.

eStatement Cancellation You may opt-out of eStatements at any time by contacting us through the secure message center within online banking or visiting us at any one of our branches. After your request is processed you will receive a paper statement in the mail on your next statement cycle date. Requests require a signature, e-Statement password verification, or authorization through Eagle Online Banking secure message center.

Our Rights in order to provide eStatements, we must maintain current customer email addresses at all times. It is your sole
responsibility to provide us with your correct contact information, including your email address. You should notify us of any changes to your personal contact information or you can update your personal information through the secure message center in the EagleOnline Banking Service or at one of our branches.
Privacy our privacy policy is available online and at one of our branches.
Joint Accounts if your account is owned jointly with another person each person must consent to receive their own e-Statement . Each person may consent to receive their own e-Statement or Paper Statement.

 

Hardware and Software Requirements You don’t need any special hardware or software to access eStatements. If you can access the EagleOnline Banking Service, you should be able to access your eStatements. However, prior to enrolling for eStatements, you should verify that you have the following required hardware and software

  • Internet Access and an external email address
  • A computer and Internet browser that can support latest HTML 4.0 and 128 bit SSL encryption.

The most current browser versions are typically more secure and will support 128 bit encryption. To access and retain the information we provide, your computer will need a Web browser and hardware that meets the following requirements of our site:

  • Either the Windows operating system or Macintosh OS X.
  • Internet access and an Internet browser which supports HTML 4.0, SSL encryption, and JavaScript.
  • For Windows users we suggest:
    • Microsoft Internet Explorer, versions 8, 9, or 10
    • Mozilla Firefox, versions 19 or 20
    • Chrome, versions 25 or 26
  • For Macintosh users we suggest:
    • Safari, versions 5 or 6
    • Mozilla Firefox, versions 19 or 20
    • Chrome, versions 25 or 26
  • Access to a printer or storage medium such as a hard drive so that you can download and/ or print disclosures and/or statements for your records.
  • You will also need Adobe Acrobat to review statements in PDF format, if such statements are available. To read statements in PDF format, you will need to download Adobe Acrobat software into your browser. There is no cost to download this software. If you do not have Adobe you can download it from Adobe.com.

Software and Hardware Revisions we may revise hardware and software requirements, and if there is a material chance that the changes may impact your ability to access eStatements, we will notify you of these changes in advance and provide you an opportunity to change
